Strangers on Hollow Hill
by Andrew Rothkin

8:00pm * $10 admission [w/ drink!]

It’s 1988.  Brian returns home from his freshman year at college to find that so much has changed since he was last home at Christmas: his mother left his father, his father’s mistress moved into the house, and the place has been redecorated beyond his recognition.  His eccentric, artsy friends, too, seem so very different from when he last saw them.

As Brian interacts with the people in his life – both old and new – he begins to understand that very little has changed around him, but that he himself has become a new person with new perspectives.  In doing so, he begins to come to terms with who his friends really are, with the strange woman who is part of his father’s life, and with his strained relationship with his mother and father.  Most significantly, Brian begins to come to terms with himself.

About Talent on Tap: Draught

Graciously hosted in the upper lounge of Ryan’s Daughter Pub in Manhattan’s UES, Talent on Tap: Draught is our Theatre Department’s Story Workshop. Here at DreamCatcher Entertainment, we will put together Staged Readings of new works with professional actors.  Following the Reading, there is an open talkback with the audience so the playwright can gain constructive feedback as the organic writing process continues to develop.  Tickets $10 and include a complimentary cocktail.
